CND’s public liability insurance cover provides £5 million public liability cover for all of our groups, areas and regions with an excess of £500 for property damage but none for personal injury and £10 million cover for employee liability. The key proviso in the policy is that any demonstrations being insured are undertaken with the approval of relevant authorities, which could be the police, local council, and/or emergency services. The policy enables all groups to comply with local authority requirements for insurance cover, an increasingly necessary requirement for even the most basic campaigning such as street stalls.
We do ask groups to make a donation towards our insurance to help cover the cost. We suggest a donation of £50 – 100, but any amount will be gratefully received. Please send requests for a cover note along with any donation either via:
