Linda Hugl has been CND treasurer for over ten years and was instrumental in the setting up of the Nuclear Education Trust (NET); she has been a NET Trustee since its inception. Linda is also an irreplaceable member of the organising team for CND’s presence at Glastonbury Festival. ‘I’ve been around for quite a while now and have achieved a number of things that I am proud of, including properly introducing staff pensions,’ says Linda. ‘My most important achievement though was being instrumental in re-introducing the post of General Secretary, which has a crucial role in bringing out the best in our staff team and is filled by Kate Hudson, our most effective leader in a generation. ‘Being CND treasurer is not at all glamorous but it is an essential job!
