HELP CND EXPOSE THE GROWING THREAT OF NUCLEAR WAR!

We are planning a series of stunts involving a giant 20ft inflatable mushroom cloud, which we are creating to raise awareness of the growing threat of nuclear war, but we need your help!

According to the scientists who set the Doomsday Clock, the threat of nuclear war is at the highest it’s ever been. At this critical time, we urgently need to tap into the creativity and radicalism so closely associated with CND’s activism of the 60s and 80s in order to raise awareness of these growing nuclear dangers.

The iconic image of the mushroom is the one that best represents the horror and scale of devastation that can be caused by nuclear weapons. With this new giant inflatable, we will be able to make a powerful statement that urges people to take nuclear threats seriously and join us in securing nuclear disarmament. 

For this project to be as visually impactful as possible, we plan to inflate the mushroom cloud at important locations across the country. We will need your support to pull this off!

Britain has now overtaken Russia to become the third biggest spender on nuclear weapons in the world. This is because it’s spending hundreds of billions on replacing its nuclear armed submarines. But on top of that, the government plans to purchase a new generation of nuclear-capable F-35 jets. It is time to call them out on this dangerous nuclear proliferation and build support for abolishing these weapons for good!
