Hiroshima & Nagasaki Appeal: 80th Anniversary

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the horrific, nuclear attacks by the US against the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We are now the closest we have been to nuclear war since the Cold War. It is therefore more important than ever that we raise awareness of the dangers of nuclear weapons and help to build the global anti-nuclear movement.

CND plays a critical role in ensuring that the testimonies of the women, children and men who survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, known as Hibakusha, are never forgotten.
