Join Derby CND for this film screening of ‘The Plan’, in response to the recent announcement by Rolls Royce of plans to expand its construction of nuclear reactors for attack submarines as part of the AUKUS agreement.
‘The Plan’ is a thought-provoking and extensive film essay which chronicles the extraordinary story of the Lucas Aerospace engineers, who 40 years ago responded to the threat of redundancy with their own plan of action. The film documents how this group of workers developed alternatives to the military products their company made including wind turbines and hybrid cars.
There will be a Q&A following the screening with Phil Asquith, who was involved in developing the Plan; Tony Tinley, Unite regional officer; and Tom Unterrainer, CND Chair.
Tickets are available from the venue – QUAD.
