In a national call out, CND’s Peace Education programme encouraged students from across the country to submit original poems to explore issues of hope and peace and amplify the voices of young people. The ‘Verses of Hope’ National Peace Poetry Competition commemorated the 80th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the competition was judged by published poets, Antony Owen and Aaron Kent.
Join us for this ceremony to award the winners and hear from the winning poets reading out their selected work.
The event will take place at BLOC, ArtsOne Building, Queen Mary University of London, 1 Westfield Way, London E1 4PD.
