|Anna’s first involvement with politics was joining the Labour party at age 17, becoming an active member. At 19, she worked for a fine art printers, Ganymed Press London Ltd, a New Statesman and Nation subsidiary, meaning she met many of those who wrote for these publications. She went with the editor Kingsley Martin’s secretary to CND’s first meeting in 1958 and then the first Aldermaston march. Anna has been campaigning against nuclear weapons ever since.
After moving to Leicester with her family in 1979, Anna offered to help Leicester CND and hasn’t stopped since! She uses art, determination, poetry and dance to campaign and is an inspiration to many.
