As the world becomes an ever more dangerous place with nuclear threats escalating, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) fights for a peaceful, sustainable world, free of nuclear weapons.
We’re looking for a membership & fundraising assistant to be a part of our team and help us with our essential work. The work will be particularly focused around fundraising admin and the online shop which sells CND merchandise.
Type of work involved
The role will provide administrative support to the Membership and Fundraising Officers, whilst being trained in various aspects of the CND membership and fundraising roles. The work would typically involve:
- Fundraising administration, including using the Raiser’s Edge database for gift batches and sending acknowledgement letters and emails
- Member and supporter care and communication
- Member and supporter research and analysis
- Research and development for digital marketing and social media campaigns
- Administration for the online shop, as well as researching and developing new merchandise
- Dealing with ad hoc tasks as required
Who we’re looking for
We think this role would be a great fit for someone who is committed to the aims and objectives of CND, who has an interest in fundraising and donor stewardship, as well as digital marketing and social media.
Someone who can work on their own initiative and as part of a team, has good computer skills, is attentive to detail, and is well-organised.
Hours of work and pay
This is a temporary position for 14 hours a week for a period of three months, to start as soon as possible. The position is paid at £14 an hour.
CND operates a hybrid working model with the possibility to work from home one day a week, but the position requires one day a week minimum working from the CND office in London. There will also be occasional events and meetings outside normal working hours.
