We look forward to welcoming you to CND’s 2026 Conference, where CND members — like you! — decide the direction and leadership of CND for the year ahead.

This year the Annual General Meeting and Policy Conference take place online on Sunday 4 October.

Before the AGM, we conduct an online ballot to elect CND’s leadership, in the form of the officers and directly elected Council members. The deadline for nominations for these posts is Monday 27 July. At the AGM itself we review CND’s campaigning activities for the year and the budget for the coming year.

The Policy Conference is where we debate and decide on how we should respond to developments in Britain and the world, which in turn sets our campaigning priorities for the year ahead.

The deadline for submitting resolutions for this Policy Conference is Monday 27 July.

To submit nominations and resolutions, please email conference@cnduk.org.

Below are more details and information about the AGM and Policy Conference

The AGM makes key decisions on CND’s governance, including elections for Officers and directly elected Council members. Our campaigning activities are reviewed at the AGM, but important decisions are also made on our finances, such as the consideration of a finance report and the appointment of auditors. This is a relatively short, business-like meeting, to start the day.

Having ensured all key matters around elections, finance and annual reports are concluded, we continue with policy debates centred on motions submitted by groups and members. This is our Policy Conference that provides members with the important opportunity to decide our overall direction for the coming year, so please do encourage as many of your groups and members as possible to join and contribute!
