On Saturday, 22 November, CND held a very sucessful conference in London which brought together a powerful alliance of campaigners, academics, and leaders from the peace, climate, and trade union movements. The lively day of debate discussed the alternatives to nuclear expansion and war and how we build the movement for peace. We’d like to thank everyone who participated, especially all those new to CND’s campaigning: we are so pleased you are getting involved!
A key part of the conference was about educating and building opposition to Britain’s purchase of nuclear-capable F-35A fighter jets, which will be based at RAF Marham and carry US B61-12 nuclear bombs. Learn more about CND’s Stop British Nuke Jets campaign here and put Saturday, 28 February in your diary and join our national demonstration at RAF Marham!
You can read some coverage of the conference here, which looks at some of the aspects driving Britain’s purchase of nuclear-capable F-35 fighter jets.
