CND congratulates campaigners in Liverpool for ensuring that the Electronic Warfare Europe arms fair has been cancelled. It was scheduled to take place at the ACC Exhibition centre in Liverpool. Kate Hudson, General Secretary of CND, said,
“This is a welcome development and testament to the great campaigning work done on the ground in Liverpool by local residents, and campaigning groups locally and nationally.
“Showing such opposition to warfare is vital to creating a peaceful planet. The local council must now do everything in its power, to ensure such events never take place in the city of Liverpool again.”
