Emergency Appeal: No War on Iran!

The illegal war on Iran by the US and Israel has killed thousands of people, including hundreds of children. It now risks dragging the world into a devastating war that could go nuclear.

Both nuclear-armed US and Israel are trying to justify their illegal actions by claiming that Iran is developing nuclear weapons. However, there is no evidence of this from either the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) or from the US intelligence services. Mediators involved in the nuclear talks that were talking place just before the attacks confirmed that Iran had agreed to stop any enrichment of its uranium, to reduce the enrichment levels of its stockpiled uranium, and to allow IAEA inspectors into all its facilities.

Whilst the British government has said it will not support this illegal war, every day US nuclear-capable bombers are flying out from the British airbase, RAF Fairford, to carry out bombing missions on Iran.

Meanwhile, Iran’s blockade of the Straits of Hormuz is creating a global economic crisis as oil prices sky rocket.

It’s absolutely critical that we do everything in our power to end this conflict. We can do this by pressuring the British government to stop its support for the US-Israeli war and for Prime Minister Keir Starmer to close down US access to the British bases.

CND is jointly organising critical demonstrations to say no to war on Iran and to call out the nuclear hypocrisy behind the attacks – and we’ve helped bring tens of thousands onto the streets of London.
