Literary based artist Ros Martin and Cameroonian musician Alphonse Daudet will deliver the Bristol Peace Lecture in spoken word and music.
Ros Martin is a playwright, essayist, author, film maker, spoken-word artist and cultural activist, and also a freelance producer for twenty years. She will draw on her personal experiences of work engaging in the histories and struggles of the African diaspora and socially marginalised communities in this country. Her work addresses the aspirations of these communities for dignity, respect, equal opportunities and social inclusion.
Ros will be accompanied by Cameroonian musician Alphonse Daudet Touna on the Balafon (West African marimba). Both performers live and work in Bristol.
This event is the ninth Bristol Quakers Annual Peace Lecture.
The performance can be attended in person or on Zoom.
