Join Finchley CND for a screening of Barbara Santi’s seminal film, ‘Gentle, Angry Women’.
The film follows three young activists as they uncover a powerful, often overlooked chapter of women’s history and the alarming reality of British nuclear armament; and discover the Greenham Women’s peace camp and the collective action it inspired which led to the removal of US nuclear missiles from Britain.
Those nukes are now back – sited at the US base at Lakenheath, just 75 miles from East Finchley.
This screening will be followed by a Q&A session with filmmaker Barbara Santi and CND Vice-President Kate Hudson. Come and discover our determination to remove the US weapons once again!
