Are you a CND member in the Greater Manchester area and keen to find out more about the local campaign for a world without nuclear weapons? Come along to discuss ideas for the year ahead.
Greater Manchester & District CND will be hosting our 2026 Annual General Meeting, at Bridge 5 Mill, 22A Beswick St, M4 7HR on Saturday 24th January. The AGM will begin at 11am. This will entail us carrying out our democratic duties as an organisation, discussing motions and nominating officers and members of the GM&D CND Co-ordinating Group. We endeavour to have as broad a representation of experience and interest as possible in our organisation, so do please consider standing for election at our AGM. This organisation is yours, and we want you to shape it.
This will include a strategic overview from CND council member, Jenny Clegg. The deadline for motions has passed. You can find them here. The deadline for amendments to motions, emergency motions, and any remaining peace group reports must be submitted by 20th January. Please send to gmdcnd@gn.apc.org.
Anybody who is a member of CND can attend the AGM. If you are not, feel free to join the organisation, or you can attend as a non-voting observer. We encourage anyone who is interested to stand for Co-ord and the associated roles. GM&D CND is a democratic organisation and we want as much experience as possible reflected in our leading bodies.
There will be an opportunity to eat, so please bring a packed lunch, and we can break bread together.
See you there!
