Hastings Against War is hosting a free event to commemorate the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
You are invited to float a paper lantern in memory of the victims of atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945
Deputy Mayor of Hastings, Councillor James Bacon will welcome the gathering at 8.15pm
The guest speaker is Councillor Peter Chowney, Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (Lab) Hastings & Rye, and women’s choir, Las Pasionarias, offer songs of peace before the paper lanterns are floated on the lake at sunset.
