Each August the anniversary of the dropping of the first atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 is commemorated across the world.
Join South Lakeland and Lancaster District CND on the Millennium Footbridge for a vigil with readings, scattering of flowers on the River Lune, etc starting at 7pm. Look for the Lancaster and District CND banner. Please bring readings and flowers.
The Millennium Footbridge is four minutes walk from Lancaster Bus Station. 11 minutes walk from the train station. Parking available in nearby Sainsbury’s at LA1 1HH (£2.50 for 2 hours, reimbursed if £10+ spent in-store).
