Join Norwich CND at the ‘Breath’ sculpture for peace (behind the war memorial opposite City Hall) to mark the anniversary of the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
We will be joined by the Lord Mayor and the Sheriff of Norwich for speeches and the laying of a wreath of white poppies. There will then be a minute’s silence before we process with banners to the Peace Pillar in Chapelfield Gardens. There we will have stories and learn how to make an origami crane!
Please bring your friends and family, and a picnic to share afterwards.
