Join Leicester CND for International Conscientious Objector Day.
There were over 250 Leicester/Leicestershire COs in World War I. These courageous young men are remembered by the CO Marker Stone on Peace Walk down from the Arch of Remembrance war memorial on Victoria Park. Then today there are the hundreds of thousands in Russia and Ukraine who are refusing to fight.
We warmly invite you to join us to hear about Conscientious Objectors to war through stories, poetry and singing. Then share in refreshments and peace literature afterwards.
