Join Medact for a lunchtime meeting and discussion with Chuck Johnson, the Director of Nuclear Programs for the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW).
We will be discussing the humanitarian and environmental threats posed by nuclear war, the need for a global shift toward denuclearisation through international mechanisms such as the INF Treaty and the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).
In light of the US withdrawal from the INF Treaty and increasing tensions between nuclear weapons’ states India and Pakistan, now more than ever we must be pressuring the UK government and institutions to sign up to the TPNW and enter into discussions with other states to do the same.
