I’m now approaching the end of my fourth year as Peace Education Officer with CND, and the time has certainly flown by! This year we were delighted to welcome Misha Hassan as our new Peace Education Assistant. With this additional support, we’re aiming to expand the programme, reach more schools across England, and continue enhancing our resource packs and online materials. We take pride in offering genuinely educational – not campaigning – resources, which makes us a reliable choice for teachers who want to stay within the Department of Education’s Impartiality Guidance.

My background is in primary teaching, and I’ve spent many years working with schools and university teacher education departments, delivering training and developing curriculum projects. These days, I also enjoy spending time with my grandchild, who will turn four in March.

Part of my role involves managing our School Speaker Network (SSN), which operates across England to deliver workshops and assemblies to secondary and upper primary students. We also showcase our teaching resources at conferences and education festivals around the country.
