On Sunday the 28th September at 9.30pm, several leading peace organisations are putting on a free event at the Palace Suite, The Queens Hotel, Meyrick Street, Bournemouth.
The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT), Conscience-(The Peace Tax Campaign), Institute for Law and Peace (INLAP), World Court Project are holding a fringe meeting/social event in Bournemouth as part of events occurring during Labour Party Conference.
There will be:-
– A live Jazz Band
– Kate Hudson – CND Chair
– Ann Feltham – CAAT, Joint Co-ordinator
– Tony Lloyd MP – Former Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office
– John McDonnell MP – regular contributor to Tribune, Red Pepper, Campaign Group News and Labour Briefing and Editor of Labour Herald
– Alan Simpson MP – Author of books on Common Security, Community Development, Employment, Policing Policies, Europe and Racism.
– Free wine
The event will be about the war and occupation of Iraq, weapons of mass destruction and nuclear weapons, missile defence and the proliferation of weapons and other topical issues. Kate Hudson, CND Chair, said “This is a seriously fun event with jazz, wine and the pursuit of peace”.
All are welcome to the free Peace Exchange which will endeavour to be lively mix of intellectual stimulation, amusement and refreshments!
