Organised by Greater Manchester & District CND, Nuclear Free Local Authorities, Beyond Nuclear, and Chernobyl Children’s Project UK, this webinar will consider the potential impacts of new nuclear projects on sensitive wildlife areas, as well as the wider impacts of nuclear sites in relation to climate change and coastal erosion.

With speakers including:

-Jonathon Porritt, founder of Forum for the Future and formerly Chair of the UK Sustainability Commission and Director of Friends of the Earth.
-Juliet Davenport, the founder of leading renewable energy company Good Energy, and host of the Great Green Questions podcast.
-Craig Bennett, CEO of The Wildlife Trust and Senior Associate at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and a former Director of Friends of the Earth.
-The actress, writer and director Diana Quick, who has campaigned against Sizewell B and C, will be opening the webinar with a reading from ‘The Bittern’.
-The webinar will be moderated by Linda Pentz Gunter, international nuclear policy specialist and Media and Development Director for Beyond Nuclear International.
