All welcome to join this Scottish Parliament Nuclear Disarmament Cross Party Group meeting, hosted by Bill Kidd MSP on UN International Peace Day.
With guest speakers Beatrice Fihn, executive director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) the 2017 Nobel Peace Laureate; Daniel Hogsta, the staff member who is working with parliamentarians around the world on the Treaty; and Rebecca Johnson, one of ICAN’s founding chairs.
The Cross Party Group meeting will provide a significant briefing on the First Meeting of State Parties to the TPNW in Vienna in March, and on why it would be very valuable to the global disarmament movement if MSPs and ICAN Partner organisations and supporters can participate.
