Extinction Rebellion York and Yorkshire CND invite you to the People’s Assembly, held as part of York Environment Week. This will be a chance to discuss CND’s Peace and Planet message in the context of wider climate issues.
We’ll hear from national and local environmental leaders, get to the heart of climate issues, and engage in true participatory democracy around three key themes: end fossil fuels, involve people, and protect what’s threatened.
Based on our discussions, we’ll take recommendations to the council, local businesses, and groups – all aimed at building a movement for change.
The People’s Assembly will be hosted at Central Methodist Church, an accessible venue with refreshments and facilities.
