Join the Nuclear Information Service for this webinar to discuss their new briefing, with a chance to ask questions of the author and the panel.
NIS has collated the reported comments of non-nuclear weapon states to the current nuclear weapon modernisation programmes being carried out by the nine nuclear-armed states. The study considers states’ concerns about the implications of modernisation for non-proliferation and whether it has helped drive support for the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).
Author Sanem Topal will outline the project and findings. Alicia Sanders-Zakre from ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons) and Dr Gry Thomasen from BASIC (British American Security Information Council) will give their comments and outline their own work in this area. David Cullen from NIS will chair the discussion and field your questions to the panel.
