The government must stop wasting money on nuclear weapons and use it instead to ensure fair wages and a decent standard of living for all.
People across the country are facing hardship during this cost of living crisis, but the government is spending at least £205 billion on a new nuclear weapons system.
Instead of spending vast amounts on more nuclear weapons, CND calls on the government to invest in our NHS, build more homes and a better transport system. And we need fair-priced renewable energy as part of solving the climate emergency.
We, the undersigned, call on the government to:
- Scrap Britain's nuclear weapons system, Trident; and
- Use the money instead to ensure fair wages and a decent standard of living for all.
