‘The Day After’, ‘Testament’, and ‘Threads’ depicted the horrors of nuclear war and its impact on its indiscriminate victims. The livestream will discuss these films, nuclear anxiety past and present, the environmental impacts of nuclear technologies, and the potential for films like these to spur collective action.

With guest speakers Vicki Lesley, filmmaker and director of ‘The Atom: A Love Affair’; Allison McCracken, DePaul University American Studies Professor; and Min-Kyoo Kim, Film and Screen Studies PhD student at the University of Cambridge.
