The Royal Navy will host a National Service of Thanksgiving to mark 50 years of the Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD), the longest unbroken operation ever delivered by the United Kingdom. The Service will take place at Westminster Abbey on Friday 3rd May 2019, at noon, recognising all those individuals and organisations who have made a significant contribution to defending the nation as part of this mission.
Following the Service there will be a Reception in the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster which is expected to finish at 1530.
Please can you reserve the date in *** calendar and arrange for the attached proforma to be completed if they wish to attend. The completed form should be sent to the e-mail below by 25 Mar 19 and a formal invitation from the First Sea Lord will be despatched in due course.
