Hiroshima and Nagasaki remembered: Worthing

Each August the anniversary of the dropping of the first atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 is commemorated across the world. Join Worthing Peace Group to mark the occasion by the Peace Tree in Homefield Park.

Speakers will include Nadia Edmond from Brighton Stop the War and Rebecca Johnson, CND Vice-President and a prominent figure during the Greenham Common women’s protest. Please bring paper cranes to hang from the tree.
