Join London CND for our annual Hiroshima Day Commemoration. Opened by Cllr Maryam Eslamdoust, Mayor of Camden, and compered by London CND Vice-President Jenny Jones (former Deputy Mayor of London and nowadays Green Party’s Baroness Jones of Moulsecoomb), with the usual mix of performers and speakers, including Raised Voices Choir and a message from the Mayor of Hiroshima read by Shigeo Kobayashi.
Ceremony followed by two minutes silence and flower laying at the Hiroshima Cherry tree which was planted in 1967 by the then Mayor Camden Cllr Millie Miller.
The rest of the afternoon is your opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones. Light refreshments will be provided but why not bring along a picnic?
