Join Greater Manchester & District CND for a free guided walk around sites connected with Manchester’s importance as a centre for peace and radical political activity.
The walk will cover:
- Peterloo, the popular reform movement and workers’ rights
- The Free Trade Hall, suffragettes to the Sex Pistols
- Abraham Lincoln, Manchester Cathedral and the campaign against slavery
- Mines Action Group and the Nobel Peace Prize
The walk will finish with tea/coffee/chat at the People’s History Museum around 3.00pm.
If you wish to join, meet outside Manchester Central Library, St Peter’s Square at 1.45pm for a 2.00pm start.
