At the end of February it will be one year since Russia invaded Ukraine. To mark the day, CND and Stop the War have called a national demonstration in central London on Saturday 25 February at midday to say no to war, and no to nuclear war.

From the very beginning, we have demanded ‘Russian troops out,’ and we also opposed NATO expansion, which was one of the causes of the war and the rapid military escalation in the conflict. One year on, the situation is deadlocked and it is clear there can be no winners in this war, that is why we need to be on the streets to demand peace talks now.
The existential threat of a nuclear war between NATO and Russia must be eliminated. Between them, they have around 12,000 nuclear weapons —some 100 times the power of the Hiroshima bomb. Join us as we call for peace, and an end to the very real threat of a nuclear war.
