Background: Saturday 27 February will see the Scottish First Minister and the Leader of the Opposition address the largest and most politically significant mobilisation against nuclear weapons in a generation. The Stop Trident demo will amass tens of thousands of people ahead of a parliamentary decision on whether or not to replace Trident, the UK’s nuclear weapons system. The political consensus for Trident is vanishing: whatever the vote, Trident’s future looks increasingly uncertain. Join us to get the lowdown on the alliance of groups coming together to Stop Trident this Saturday.
Photo call: The press conference will be followed by a photo call with MPs Caroline Lucas, Ronnie Campbell, Stuart Donaldson, Ian Blackford, Alison Thewliss, and others.
