Campaigners, politicians, and trade unionists are to meet in Liverpool this weekend (12-13 October) for a conference on nuclear disarmament.

With an opening address by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, the annual conference of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) will take place at Liverpool John Moores University. Full details below.

Campaigners and CND members from around the country will meet to discuss the year ahead for the organisation: from opposing Trident replacement to global disarmament initiatives.

A range of excellent speakers will address the conference and host workshops, including Billy Hayes (General Secretary, CWU); Lynn Collins (Regional Secretary, North West TUC); Dr. Adel Ahmed (Liverpool Muslim Society); and many others, covering parliamentary work, engaging faith communities, working with trade unions and more.
