CND's main objective is, of course, nuclear disarmament. However, under this we have specific campaigns. Which of the following of CND's campaigns are you most interested in? Please rank on a scale where 1 = most important to me and 5 = least important.
Scrap Trident*
Trident is the UK's current nuclear weapons system, which the government is in the process of replacing, at a cost of £205 billion and rising. They have also announced plans for a 40% increase in the number of warheads in the UK's arsenal.
Global Nuclear Abolition*
The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons - or the Global Ban Treaty - is a historic treaty banning nuclear weapons which was adopted by the United Nations in 2017. The UK government is boycotting the process.
Digital Warfare*
Warfare is evolving, with cyber-attacks hitting the headlines and states forming space forces. Hybrid methods and new technologies are creating new threats for future wars - CND is highlighting and challenging these developments in our campaign for a safer and more peaceful world.
Anti-war*
CND campaigns for the prevention and cessation of wars in which Britain's nuclear weapons might be used.
No to NATO*
CND campaigns for Britain to leave NATO and for the nuclear-armed military alliance to be disbanded
No to Nuclear Power*
CND calls for an end to the production of nuclear energy - a technology that is dirty, dangerous and economically unsustainable.
Climate not Trident*
CND campaigns for the money spent on Trident to instead be invested in dealing with the climate emergency.
