As states gather at the UN in Vienna to discuss the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, join CND for this online meeting to discuss whether nuclear weapons can ever deliver real security.

With nuclear war a greater threat now than in decades, we’ll be examining whether these weapons are making the world a safer place, or putting us at greater risk. How does the UK government define security? And how does its actions impact on the wider international context? We’ll be covering these topics, as well as many more.

With guest speakers Aidan Liddle, UK Ambassador to the Conference on Disarmament; Rebecca Johnson, CND Vice-President, Acronym, ICAN; Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP; and Trish Whitham, Nuclear Information Service coordinator. Chaired by Kate Hudson, CND General Secretary.
