Can your town become a nuclear ban community? While the UK government is refusing to engage with a new treaty that makes nuclear weapons illegal, towns and cities across the UK – and the world – have instead taken the lead, with councils from Brighton to Fife adopting motions in support of the treaty.
Some CND groups have already been successful with their campaign, others are working hard, while some are still considering whether this campaign is right for them. We invite all CND groups to join this Zoom workshop to come together to share best practice and ask each other questions about the nuclear ban communities campaign. Those who are more advanced in their local campaigning can hopefully inspire others who haven’t started work on it yet.
The more CND groups that can send a representative to this meeting, the stronger our collective campaign will be. And we also warmly welcome anyone not in a CND group that is currently working on a similar local campaign to join us.
